I can only guess that you guys get sick of this question but it appears that S&W serial number lookup resources are just non-existent. I can easily find the date of manufacture for my other guns but not my S&W. Oh well, I'll play the newbie card and lets see how hard I get trolled.

The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson does not list serial numbers for AR's. You'll have to contact S&W customer service to get a manufacture date. Last I checked, a set of the Magpul pop up sights cost about $80. Their handguards run $30-40.
